K Sports Men’s 2nd XI vs Maidstone Men’s 6th XI

K Sports 2nd XI entertained Maidstone 6th XI this weekend in the freezing tempratures at home, and found themselves having an extended warm-up to try and get warm. Maidstone won the toss and opted to stay in the end they were so K Sports started the game… and they started in a flash. Bang. 1 Early goal, followed by the second and third to give them a solid basis to work with for the remainder of the game.

Howard Goacher had an array of representatives supporting from the sidelines, which obviously gave him extra incentive to perform in the game. He was outstanding with another dominant performance and picking up countless stray passes feeding the wings with Ben Chadwick and Luke Boniface. Ben is showing some real raw talent in his first few games, and is already making an impact by running behind and showing tenacity that the opposition cannot match. Andy Smith and Simon Boniface worked well in the middle to work together and find gaps for Kai Wilson and Dave Wood to pick a gap and slot another goal. K sports continued to dominate the game and went in at half time 5-0 up.

Darren Body, Martin Dad and Tom Dadd were near enough on the halfway line for large part of the game to contain the play in the Maidstone half, and Darren Body set the example again by getting infront of the player and showing some string skills to beat the winger and join the attack. Andy Stiff managed to break up almost everything that came through the midfeild and showed what a key member of the team he has been this season.

K Sports continued to attack and swiftly added more goals in the second half, showing a real relentless streak infront of goal. The highlight of all was Ben Chadwick getting his first goal by slotting in at the back post after being found by Howard Goacher to complete a good attacking move.

K Sports have Gravesham & Wellcome Unicorns next week, and will be looking to build of such a strong result again.
