This week was K Sports’ home fixture against Sutton Valance, between the top two of the division so far. K Sports started very quickly in the game, with some flying attacking play which paid dividends early on, as Captain Andy Smith rounded the keeper and flicked in from a tight angle. Luke Boniface continued his good form down the wing and ran riot, and Gavin Fisher was equally as effective down the right.
K Sports continued to to dominate and quickly saw themselves another two goals ahead with Luke Boniface and James Dench scoring. Howard Goacher and Jay O’Shea showed what a great understanding they’re developing and dominated the midfield. Sutton Valance pulled one back in the first half, but ultimately the message at half time was to continue as they were.
As the second half started K Sports lost a player with Simon Boniface unable to add to his assist in the first half, due to a back injury. Richard Bernhard slotted into defence, with Darren Body on holiday in the Dominican Republic, and Martin Dadd and Joe Dowling continuing to beat off any potential attacks. Nick Shread returned from injury today to slot into CDM, and showed his ability with some fine distribution to build the attacks.
K Sports added another three goals in the second half, scored by Andy Smith, Gavin Fisher and Luke Boniface, with Sutton Valance scoring a penalty flick in reply. It was a very enjoyable game and both sides commending the other for a tough but fair fixture. Next week K Sports are away to Burnt Ash for their final fixture before Christmas.
